MindFood free 6-session ‘Growing Wellbeing’ course helps people to tackle stress, anxiety and depression in a natural way, by offering free food-growing courses at 2 sites in Ealing: our allotments near Hanger Lane tube on Friday afternoons, and at Horsenden Hill Farm on Tuesday afternoons.
The ‘Growing Wellbeing’ course is a fun balance of learning how to grow food, and how to use tips and techniques to improve your wellbeing.
It’s very relaxed and informal so people don’t need to worry about sitting in a circle sharing their feelings (- a concern for many!).
It’s just about helping to create a veg garden that’s a world away from the pressures of city life. As well as learning lots about gardening, participants will be introduced to the following wellbeing themes:
Wk 1 – Wellbeing 5-a-day
Wk 2 – Mindfulness
Wk 3 – Wellbeing Planning
Wk 4 – Brain Food
Wk 5 – The Mind as an Ecosystem
Wk 6 – Free group visit to Kew
Participants interested in the course can be referred or self refer by completing the form on MindFood website and sending to email@example.com. New courses start every 3-4 weeks.You are able to self-refer to MindFood.
MindFood is an Ealing based community interest company that supports people with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and stress to improve their wellbeing through gardening and horticulture.We run our courses from two sites in Ealing, Cleveley Crescent near Hanger Lane tube station and Hordenden Hill near Perivale tube station.
