Joanna Goble

I began my yoga journey around 20 years ago when I found myself incredibly anxious and suffering with panic attacks whilst studying for my degree and feeling a bit lost, questioning what I wanted to do with my life. Probably quite a similar experience to most people at the age of 20. It wasn’t really a time when people talked about mental health so it wasn’t the easiest of times. Thank goodness my mother is very alternative so she suggested I go to a yoga therapist in Cambridge. I attended the first session and then began attending yoga classes regularly, at that time of my life those classes seemed to be the only hour in my week when I felt some sense of peace. It’s been a very long and rocky road for me but long story short, after much soul searching over the years, traveling, living in different places and having different jobs, I ended up in London and decided it was time to embark on yoga teacher training.

So here I am now, 20 years later and it’s hard to explain how happy you feel when you are finally doing something that you love and helping others along the way. It’s without a doubt the most rewarding ‘job’ I’ve ever had.

Now a 200hr Vinyasa Ashtanga qualified yoga yeacher with an accompanying 100hr Yin & Aryurveda qualification. I am now half way through completing my 200hr Mindfulness & Self Compassion teacher training and registered with the counselling and psychotherapy central awarding body.

My yoga classes are a thoughtful combination of mindful movement and meditation with a strong focus on taking a self compassionate and breath aware approach to each movement. All levels are welcome with options given to suit all. You’ll build your core strength, increase flexibility and feel rejuvenated by the end of class, ready for your day and week ahead.
