St. Margarets House is a unique charity supporting community, good works, creativity & wellbeing in Bethnal Green.
Our projects anchor us in the community, providing spaces for residents to eat, shop, learn, create, and enjoy a diverse cultural program. Our buildings are home to more than 27 community organisations and charities that rent space on our premises and many others that hire our rooms for their meetings, training sessions, and events.
A Diverse Cultural Programme
There’s always something interesting to see or do at St. Margaret’s House. We host a wide variety of events throughout the year, including regular art exhibitions, film screenings, gigs, open mics, spoken word nights, and comedy performances as well as special one-off festivals. Check out our event listings to find out what’s going on this month.
Arts & Crafts Workshops & Classes
We've got a great mixture of free weekly classes and one-off workshops suitable for everyone at our Create Place. It's the perfect place to meet fellow crafters while working on a project and learning a new skill. Check out our timetable, for lots of one-off workshops and in-depth courses offered each month. And if you’ve got a skill to teach, we’re always looking for new workshop facilitators - get in touch today!
