You don’t need to be unwell, unhappy or unhealthy to practice Mindfulness. You just need a genuine desire to live and feel better.
Whether you are drawn to Mindfulness to ease stress, relieve depression, improve your performance or even to achieve spiritual enlightenment – this mindfulness course is for you. This course will focus on mindful living and how to bring mindfulness into your daily life.
Mindfulness helps release us from the constant chatter in our minds. Through mindfulness we can begin to experience life in the moment enabling us to take a break from our worries and troubles.
Mindfulness can help with:

When: Wednesday evenings starting 1st May 7pm – 9pm for six weeks.
Where: St Andrew’s Church Southgate N14 5PP
A typical session will include:
- Guided Meditation
- Short practices for daily use
- A weekly theme such as dealing with negative emotions, how to take time out for you and how to let go of guilt.

My background is in education. I taught in secondary schools in London and Hertfordshire for a decade. I worked with Middlesex University as a lead mentor on the teacher training program and then went on to a national role, supporting schools across the country.
Before entering the teaching profession I worked in the Civil Service, Off Shore companies in Cyprus and run my own business.
Living Mindfully With Cancer and other physical and mental health issues
I specialised in Mindfulness for Cancer, after I was given the opportunity to work with Cancer support centres. In addition, due to my own life experience I work with people going through challenges in life, such as divorce/separation, stress, depression and anxiety, in the workplace and as an ex-teacher of course I’d want to support schools.
A UK Listed Mindfulness Teacher with the following accreditations:
- Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Cancer (MBCT-CA) – University of Bangor
- Mindfulness Accredited Teacher Training Pathway – Mindfulness Association
- Responding with Compassion – Mindfulness Association
- Mindfulness for Schools .B program
As an accredited Mindfulness teacher I am bound by the good practice guidelines for Mindfulness Teachers. I attend at least one five day retreat a year and two CPD events. I am committed to my own professional development in order to provide the best possible service to people I support.
