Sound healing is comparable to meditation and mindfulness, but with no effort required on your part. The sound does the work.
Gong and Crystal Bowl sound-baths are ideal for everyone interested in finding a way to relax, sleep better, destress and declutter the mind.
You participate by simply “lying down, listening and letting go” while a sound specialist plays a series of instruments including gongs and crystal bowls. Being surrounded by the sounds and vibrations results in a deep sense of wellbeing and calm.
Sound therapy reduces stress, promotes creativity and in almost everyone results in a better nights sleep.
Experience Pure Relaxation at Crystal Sound Lounge
Crystal Sound Lounge is London’s first gong and crystal sound bath studio, offering sound baths to individuals, groups and corporates in central London.
No preparation or prior experience is needed. You simply arrive and lie down. Unlike meditation or mindfulness there is no mental effort undertaken by you; the music and vibrations do all the work.
A sound-bath is typically 45 minutes and held in groups of up to 15 people. In the studio, you lie down on comfortable mats and are provided with pillows and fluffy blankets. The sound specialist will then play different crystal bowls, gongs and instruments to create beautiful relaxing sounds that put your mind and body into a deep sense of well-being, during which you may fall asleep. Following the end of the session you will be gently awoken by the specialist and there will be a few moments silence before returning to the outside world.
What are the benefits of a sound bath?
Stress Reduction. Music is a known de-stressor and is listening to music has been clinically proven to reduce stress. A study conducted by the British Academy of Sound Therapy (www.bast.com) found that 95% of clients suffering from stress-related disorders felt an increased state of calm following treatment.
Improved Concentration and Creativity. Research at the University of Texas found benefits of sound therapy when used on children with attention deficit disorder. After several rounds of 20 minute treatments over several months there was a notable improvement in concentration, IQ test results and reduction in problem behaviour.
Better Sleep. Following a Crystal Sound Lounge Session, 80% of surveyed participants reported a much improved night’s sleep. All participants report that they feel refreshed, rested, peaceful.
Short-Cut to Meditation. People who have gone to a sound session report feeling that they’ve achieved a deep meditative state.
Laura is an experienced entrepreneur who founded Crystal Sound Lounge in August 2017. Having developed a rare eye condition triggered by excessive screen time, she was forced to stop looking at any form of screen for two months. During this period she tried yoga, mindfulness and meditation, but found these practices hard to master and difficult to truly relax. Finally, she discovered in Mexico a crystal singing bowl session and decided to try it. Within 10 minutes she felt a profound sense of peace like never before. When Laura came back to the UK she was unable to find a place that offered sound baths. So she decided to set up a centre herself, bringing sound healing to a wider audience seeking new forms of relaxation in a sophisticated setting.
What do participants say?
“Having read about Crystal Sound Lounge, I decided to take some of the office team to a sound bath. We had an hour’s session and then booked the room for an extra hour to do a blue sky brainstorm. It was a great experience, both for individuals and as a team-building exercise. Highly recommended.” Tom Brisley, Creative Director Arrow Media Ltd.
“There was a time when The Gong Bath was the preserve of the New Age Hippy Californian Tech Billionaire Guy, quickly followed by movie stars and celebrities. But now finally we mortals of the earth have inherited access to the healing wonders of The Gong. Now there are “Sounders” taking their vibrational healing into senior corporate offices from China to Brussels and now London. If you are looking for a simple way to de-stress and bring your brain to peak performance, then a Gong Bath might be just what you need. If you would like to experience the Gong Bath for yourself, the Crystal Sound Lounge offers sessions in Central London.”
